The house was beautifully restored. The decor was fitting for the room. Clean and fresh bathroom and kitchen. Staying in the Grande room, I have never slept in a room with such a high ceiling. Many original features made it a delight to explore. Fire place and a lounge area, made the room very cozy on a cooler night.

Gorgeous old house right in the centre of Portland. Simple, lean, stylish old furniture decor with some beautiful old beds, tables, and fabulous armoire- retains the feeling of an old home rather than having been over-styled. Things that make a difference if you are using the kitchen to prepare some meals over 5 nights.

Luxurious without being over the top. It was very comfortable and the mix of new, the bathroom, with the old charm of the room was very pleasing. The Super King Size bed was amazing.
