Explore Portland's Waterfront
Stroll around the trawler wharf, watching the local fishing boats unload their catch.
The trawler wharf makes an excellent vantage point to watch the chip trucks unloading. Each truck only takes a few minutes as it tips nearly vertical to unload.
However, fishing is its true drawcard whether it’s deep-sea fishing from the shore, taking a fishing charter in the hope of catching a prized Tuna or having some fun squid fishing – it is a fishing enthusiast dream.
Another must-see location around Portland harbour are Nuns’ Beach 88 steps to a white sandy beach (don’t forget to take your SUP!).
Local Gourmet Delights
Make your way to Portland Seafoods on the Trawler Wharf Deegan Seafood and grab a crayfish or some fresh fish to cook up!
Pop into Admella’s Fruit n Fruit at 100 Percy Street and pick up some local gourmet delights and artesian breads.
